Volunteer Bank Partners with Blood Cancer United to Advance Research and Community Awareness

Nashville, TENN. – October 31, 2025 -Volunteer Bank continues to strengthen its commitment to bettering the communities it serves through its ongoing partnership with Blood Cancer United, formerly known as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The bank provided financial support to advance critical research and treatment for blood cancers, while also integrating a creative awareness campaign into its annual Halloween celebration, Vol’oween, to bring greater purpose and outreach to this important cause.

The partnership between Volunteer Bank and Blood Cancer United highlights the power of collaboration in driving meaningful change. Together, the two organizations are combining resources, compassion and community engagement to advance cures and provide essential care for those affected by blood cancers.

“Joining forces with Blood Cancer United allows us to amplify our impact in the lives of others—including members of our own team who have been personally touched by these diseases,” said Tony Gregory, chairman, president and chief executive officer at Volunteer Bank. “At Volunteer Bank, we believe true community banking means going beyond our walls to uplift and serve those around us. This partnership reflects that purpose—showing what’s possible when businesses and nonprofits come together for the greater good.”

Through fundraising initiatives, education and advocacy, Volunteer Bank and Blood Cancer United are working side by side to increase awareness of blood cancers, strengthen support networks for patients and families, and expand access to life-saving treatments.

“Volunteer Bank continues to set an inspiring example of corporate citizenship,” said Tori Duncan, campaign development director for Blood Cancer United. “Their support fuels groundbreaking research, empowers patients and ensures families across Middle Tennessee and beyond receive the resources and hope they deserve. We’re incredibly grateful for their ongoing partnership.”

The alliance between Volunteer Bank and Blood Cancer United exemplifies the bank’s mission to serve with heart, invest in progress and build stronger, healthier communities—proving that its commitment to making a difference extends far beyond the business of banking.
